This memorandum presents the analysis and findings of a transportation study focused on Hawes Street (and its adjacent intersections with Thurston Street and Washington Road) in Wrentham. Funded by the Community Transportation Technical Assistance (CTTA) Program, this study was conducted to address concerns raised by residents living on Hawes Street, Indian Head Road and Arrowhead Road. MPO staff analyzed existing conditions, traffic volumes, and vehicle travel speeds to analyze the extent of cut-through traffic, truck volumes, and speeding on Hawes Street. The report offers both short-term and long-term recommendations for Hawes Street as well as a summary of potential safety enhancements that the Town of Wrentham can consider implementing.
